If you receive this Snappic error while filming, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
Reset and re-establish the connection:
Reset the GoPro connections by swiping down on the screen, then swipe left. Go to [Preferences] - [Wireless Connections] - [Reset Connections]
On the iPhone running Snappic, install/open the GoPro Quik app and connect the GoPro to it.
Once connected, give GoPro a custom name.
Test the live view by tapping [Enable Preview] on the Quik app (this will force the GoPro to connect to a device using WiFi)
Once this is confirmed working, close the Quik app
Then open the Snappic app, select your event, and test the GoPro connection
*It is crucial to have the GoPro connected on the Quik app page before attempting to film using a wired or wireless connection
If the error persists, you may need to fully reset the GoPro to factory settings by navigating to [Preferences] - [Reset] - [Factory Reset]. Then, repeat the steps above to pair again.
Format the SD card:
GoPro:
Ensure the SD card is in the camera and the camera is powered on
Swipe down on the touch display (Hero 11/10/9 Black, swipe left after swiping down)
Tap [Preferences]
Scroll to the bottom and tap [Reset]
Tap [Format SD Card]
Tap [Format]
Restart the GoPro
Canon R8:
Ensure the SD card is in the camera and the camera is powered on
Press the [Menu] button
Navigate to the [Settings] tab, then select [1]
Select [Format Card]
Tap [OK]
Update software or firmware: Make sure your Snappic app, iOS device, and GoPro firmware are all updated. Compatibility issues can cause transfer failures.
Ensure there is enough free storage on your device. If your iPad or iPhone is low on space, especially with large video files, rendering and downloads can fail.
Ensure the micro SD card in the GoPro has at least a V30 and Class A2 rating
