No USB power / No USB data provided from arm 2 (Event Pro 3)

If no power or data is being provided from the usb-c ports on arm 2, there are two most likely causes:

  1. Most Common: Try another USB cable. See our list of recommended cables.

  2. The USB-C connection point into arm 2 (the smaller section of the arm without the Glambot® logo) needs flipped. Some USB-C connections are directional and only work one way. Try Flipping the USB-C cable connection into the data port 180 degrees.

  3. The usb-c connection is swapped on arm 1 (the section of the arm with the Glambot® logo), or disconnected.

    1. On the bottom side of arm 1, ensure that the usb-c with the yellow stripe is connected to the power port, and that the all black usb-c is in the data port

    2. On the power strip at the base of the robot, ensure that the yellow striped usb-c is plugged in and receiving power.

  4. If your Canon R8 is not receiving power or not turning on when plugged into the Glambot® power port, check these most common issues:

    1. Flip the orientation of the USB-C going into the power port of arm 2. The green light should be illuminated, like shown in the second photo below:

    2. The charger block at the base of the robot may be providing insufficient power delivery. Check the power brick at the base of the Glambot® or try a dfferent charger.

      1. If it's a dual-port charger, try the other port.

      2. If you have another device drawing power, unplug the second device.

      3. For optimal performance, we recommend the Anker 47W Nano Charger, Amazon 36w Charger, or a genuine Apple iPad 20w charger. Many cheap or low power chargers do not work.
