iPad Dual Band Wired Network Control

Updated over a week ago

For events in dense high-traffic areas with a lot of wireless signals, we recommend using a direct wired connection for the Glambot Motion Control Webapp to avoid possible interference.

This is also necessary for using the Custom Path Designer.

Instructions:

Glambot® PC Settings:

  1. On the Glambot® PC, navigate to [Settings] → [Network] → [Gear Icon] next to Cable Unplugged → [IPv4] → select [Shared to Other Computers] → [Apply]

Cable Connections:

  1. Connect the USB C hub to the iPad

  2. Connect the ethernet cable from the hub to the port on the back of the Glambot® PC

  3. Connect USB-C power cable to the iPad through the hub port labeled PD

  4. Connect USB-C data cable to the USB-C hub port labeled 10Gbps. For Event Pro 4 users, you can use as normal with a 3ft data cable or shorter.

  5. For using with an Event Pro 1, 2, 3, or a cable longer than 3 feet, you may need to connect to the data port directly under the shoulder because of the added hub connection.

iPad Settings:

To allow a cellular or wifi internet connection simultaneously with an ethernet connection, you will need to adjust a few settings:

  1. Go to [Settings] → [Ethernet] → [USB 10/100/1000 LAN]

  2. Copy the IP address

  3. Click [Configure IP]

  4. Select [Manual]

  5. Paste the IP address

  6. Enter 255.255.255.0 for the Subnet Mask

  7. Click [Save]

Operation:

  1. Use the same URL as normal: Glambot-xxxx.local:8080
