Instructions:
Control Device: This is the dedicated iPad, iPhone, or tablet that you will use only to control the robot.
Connect to the Glambot® Wi-Fi
Open safari and type in the Glambot® Motion Control URL, replacing xxxx with your unit number: glambot-xxxx.local:8080
You're control device is now ready! Proceed to the next steps for setting up your second device
Recording Device: This is the dedicated iPad or iPhone that you will use only to record with Snappic.
Connect to the Glambot via Bluetooth
If the Glambot is not showing up as a discoverable device or is unable to connect, see Bluetooth not showing up / Cannot connect to Bluetooth
Note: The only device that should be connected to the Glambot Bluetooth is the one device running Snappic
Open the Snappic app and choose your event
Connect your camera to the data port at the end of arm 2. Connect your Snappic device to the data port on the back of the pedestal
Scroll down and tap [Configure Camera] and select desired camera, then tap [Done]
For iPhone - select desired built-in lens.
For DSLR - ensure proper cable connection and select the camera (note that the options do not matter for dslr cameras, all options are equivalent). For additional help connecting a DSLR camera, see DSLR Setup and Settings.
For GoPro - tap [Search for GoPro Camera] and select the GoPro. For additional help connecting a GoPro, see GoPro Setup and Settings.
Tap [Select Accessories] and choose [Volume Buttons]
Tap [Start Photo Booth] and configure the camera settings as needed
Tap [Start Booth]
Your recording device is now ready!
Operation and Filming Recommendations:
In the Glambot motion control web app, set the desired speed (Send It recommended for all dslr cameras)
Select desired path or tether multiple paths together
Note the path time in the top-right corner
Select the corresponding video edit in Snappic that best matches the path time, then tap [Next]
When ready to record, tap [Start] on the Glambot motion control web app. The robot will move to the starting position, display a countdown, and begin the selected path motion. Do not 'Tap to Start' on the Snappic device; the video will automatically begin recording in Snappic in synchronized time when the robot path begins.
