Quickstart Checklist

This guide is intended for quick reference only. For first time setup and complete instructions, please see our full training video.

Assembly and Startup:

  1. Assemble the Glambot. For first time setup or assembly help, watch the full training video or follow our assembly guide

  2. If using an Event Pro 3 or newer, make sure that the switch on the back of the Glambot® pedestal is set to [READY]

  3. Turn on the power, ensuring the motor lights are green and the PC in the base of the unit is on.

  4. Connect your control iPad/tablet to the Glambot Wi-Fi

    • It will take approximately 35 seconds for the Wi-Fi signal to show up after powering on.

  5. Open web browser and type in the Glambot URL where xxxx is replaced with your unit number found on the base of the unit: glambot-xxxx.local:8080

    • Note that there should be NO other characters, letters, etc in the url. Do NOT add 'http' or 'www' in front of the url.

  6. Make sure you have proper clearance (10ft x 10ft floor space and 9ft ceilings), then press [Calibrate] to begin the initialization

    • The calibration will take approximately 2.5 minutes

Connect your camera and Snappic:

  1. Once calibration is complete, attach your camera or GoPro to the Glambot

  2. Connect your camera to the data port at the end of arm 2 using a 3ft coiled USB-C data cable

  3. If applicable, connect dslr camera power or accessory to the power port on arm 2

  4. Connect your Snappic iPhone or iPad to the data port on the back of the tower labeled [wrist data] with a 5-6ft USB-C cable

  5. Connect the Snappic iPhone or iPad to the Glambot via Bluetooth

    1. If the Glambot is not showing up as a discoverable device or is unable to connect, see Bluetooth not showing up / Cannot connect to Bluetooth

    2. Note: The only device that should be connected to the Glambot Bluetooth is the one device running Snappic

  6. Open the Snappic app and choose your event

  7. Scroll down and tap [Select Accessories] and choose [Volume Buttons]

  8. Tap [Configure Camera] and select desired camera, then tap [Done]

    1. For iPhone - select desired built-in lens

    2. For DSLR - ensure proper cable connection and select the camera (note that the options do not matter for dslr cameras, all options are equivalent)

    3. For GoPro - tap [Search for GoPro Camera] and select the GoPro (for additional help connecting a GoPro, see GoPro not found)

  9. Tap [Start Photo Booth] and configure the camera settings as needed

  10. Tap [Start Booth]

  11. Your Glambot is now ready!

Operation and Filming:

  1. In the Glambot motion control web app, set the desired speed (Send It recommended for all dslr cameras)

  2. Select desired path or tether multiple paths together

  3. Note the path time in the top-right corner of the timeline

  4. Select the corresponding video edit in Snappic that best matches the path time, then tap [Next]

  5. When ready, tap [Start] on the Glambot motion control web app. The robot will move to the starting position, display a countdown, and begin the selected path motion. The video will automatically begin recording in Snappic in synchronized time.
