Local Sharing Station / Slow Sharing Station Sync

Updated over 2 months ago

If your additional Snappic sharing station is slow to sync images from the main Snappic recording device, it is likely due to a poor internet connection. Follow Snappic's guide for local sharing station syncing, while also following the guidance listed below:

  1. Ensure that Snappic access is allowed to all available items under the device settings

  2. Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth for both devices running Snappic. *note that the only device that should be connected to the Glambot® Bluetooth is the one connected to your camera running the booth session. The sharing station should have Bluetooth enabled but should NOT be connected to anything.

  3. You may need to connect the sharing station to the internet first to access your event. But BEFORE clicking [Start Sharing Station], ensure that you disconnect from any network or cellular connection. WiFi should be on, but NOT connected to a network.

  4. Click [Start Sharing Station] and ensure that your devices running Snappic are within 30 feet of eachother.

  5. Your videos should start syncing within seconds of rendering. *note that sms or email sharing will not be able to send from the sharing station without an internet connection. However, you can use QR code sharing to access the video link and it will appear as soon as it is uploaded from the main Snappic device.

It is recommended to use local sharing station syncing in high-congestion areas or areas with little to no internet service. While the videos may still be delayed in uploading or sharing to guests personal phone/email, this feature allows guests to immediately view them on the sharing station and grab the link with a QR code option.
