GoPro not found / No wired connection

Updated over a week ago

If the GoPro cannot be found or is only showing as a wireless connection, there are a few likely causes.

  1. Most Common: Try another USB-C cable. Ensure that the cable used to connect to the GoPro is a USB 2.0 data transfer cable and not a charge-only cable. Ensure the GoPro is powered on and shows USB Connected when plugged in. See our list of recommended cables

  2. The USB-C connection needs to be flipped. Some USB-C connections are directional and only work one way. Try Flipping the USB-C cable 180 degrees.

    1. Event Pro 3: Flip the USB-C connection point going into the data port on the bottom side of arm 2 (the smaller second half of the arm without the logo).

    2. Event Pro 1 & 2: Flip the USB-C connection point going into the data port on the bottom side of arm 1 (the part with the Glambot® logo) near the shoulder.

  3. The USB cable may be too long (USB cables have length limits on data transfer). Ensure you are using the recommended cable lengths of 3ft on the camera connected to the data port on arm 2 and 6.6ft or less on the iphone/ipad connected to the data port on the pedestal. See our list of recommended cables

  4. If using an iPhone/ipad with a lightning port, you will need to use the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter

  5. The GoPro may not be properly setup. To pair the GoPro, follow these instructions for GoPro Wired Connection

  6. The GoPro may not be fully compatible. Ensure you are using a GoPro Hero 10 or newer to establish a wired connection.
